If you are new to Beanstack, setting up your account takes just a couple simple steps and doesn’t require that you download anything, as it is browser-based. An optional mobile app is available if you choose to download and use it. If you do not have access to a computer, tablet, smartphone, or other internet connected device at home, the library’s computers can be used to participate. Need help? Visit us at the library and we will be happy to assist you with setting up your account and showing you how to use it.
1. Go to weatherfordtx.beanstack.org
2. Look for your age group and click register.
3. Enter the required information and you’ll be all set with your account (a library card is not required to sign up with Beanstack). Information on Beanstack’s privacy policies can be found at: https://www.beanstack.com/privacy/.
In addition to tracking your progress in the library’s summer challenges, Beanstack will alert you when you have earned a prize to be picked up at the library and will track your entries into any prize drawings for the summer reading programs. At the conclusion of the summer reading programs, Beanstack will conduct random drawings to select our winners from all entries received.
The prize drawings are sponsored by the Friends of the Weatherford Public Library (a 501(c)3 corporation), 1014 Charles Street, Weatherford, TX 76086.
Drawings are to be held the week of August 1th through 5th, 2022.
Parental Notice:
Beanstack requires personal information. If you choose to use Beanstack, you can apply Beanstack’s privacy policy addressing children’s privacy at any time. This allows parents to request that all of their child’s data be deleted from Beanstack’s database by sending an email message to contact@beanstack.com with “Request for Child Information Removal” as the subject, and the name and age of the child in the body of the message. There are numerous paid and free parental monitoring apps available should you wish to keep tabs on when your children are accessing the Beanstack website or should you wish to block access altogether. Additionally, if you are not comfortable sharing your children’s information, you may also opt out and use a paper log to participate in the program.
