Be sure to check out the best feature…the multiple quizzes your student can take to determine understanding of each literature selection. There are also full texts here of classic books, translations, and access to additional subjects, providing information on any topic. This is a wonderful free resource for your homeschool!

Accelerated Reader Bookfinder
If you are interested in points for the Accelerated Reader program, or if you would like to get an idea of what grade level the book your child is reading, this is a great free resource. A description of the plot is also provided.

Common Sense Media Book Lists
Several free booklists at this website are based on topic or age level. More Best Lists for entertainment are also available, and reviews by children and parents provide ideas on content appropriateness of titles.
Sarah MacKenzie, author of The Read-Aloud Family, encourages homeschoolers in reading aloud to their children. Booklists are available for free as a large PDF file, or view the individual booklists by topic and request a copy by e-mail.
