Local Homeschool Groups


Cornerstone Collective
If you live in the Northwest corner of Parker County, this co-op in Decatur may be a good choice for your children to enjoy some time out of the house with friends. Classes meet on Thursdays at Cornerstone Baptist church and are elective based or unit study formats for all ages. There is also an option for special needs children. Topics to choose from include Music, Life Skills, PE, Strategy Games, Science, Music, Theater, Spanish, Sewing, Phonics, Math, Geography, and more (see schedule here) will fit a variety of interests to supplement your school week.

Independent Christian Academics and Networking
ICAN is a new local homeschool group in the Springtown area with co-ops, field trips and more available.

Parker County Christian Home Educators

Information on local activities and co-op classes. Fees are required.

Parker-Wise County Homeschooling Group

A Facebook page for a Homeschooling networking group which serves Parker and Wise County areas.

Swing City Homeschool Fellowship
Meeting weekly for Bible study and swing dance lessons at Cross Point Nazarene Church in Azle, this Christian-based organization offers wholesome family dances throughout the year, including a Homeschool Prom.

WACHE (Westside Association of Christian Home Educators)
This homeschool cooperative has members living on the west side of Ft. Worth, but is also open to membership outside of that area. Offering activities, programs, classes and fellowship to supplement your homeschooling, you can locate classes on the schedule page here.

Hybrid Schools

Founders Fine Arts Academy of Parker County
With a focus on the Fine Arts, this homeschoool cooperative offers dance, music, creative writing, art, Spanish, musical theatre, sewing, shop, culinary arts, debate, Boys and Girls Club, 4-H and more. Founders has now added a hybrid option of small classes and individualized learning in Abeka® curriculum for grades K-12. 

Heritage Christian Academy
Core or a la carte classes for homeschoolers available at this local co-op in Granbury. Social memberships also available for those interested in field trips, outings, and travel. Innovative teaching methods are employed and combined with family learning experiences. A Theatre Arts class and private voice lessons also available. Legacy Christian Academy of Granbury
Using classically based curriculum, Legacy Christian Academy of Granbury offers an abbreviated schedule three days a week and provides an individualized learning experience for each student.

Live Oak Learning Montessori
Looking for a local Montessori option for PK-2nd grade with a certified Montessori guide? This new Montessori school in Weatherford offers a co-op and enrichment program that works as a hybrid homeschool model. You can choose the morning schedule only for your child and/or afternoon enrichment time. They also provide homeschool parent coaching, online school, and rent Montessori materials for use at home. If you enjoy the Montessori educational approach, this is a great place to find like-minded families.

Mosaic Academy
This private part-time K-12 school for Home Educators is located in Fort Worth. They partner with parents to provide a selection of courses, electives, and socialization options that meets the learning needs of each student while offering a faith-based teaching approach. Apply for admission here.

Oakridge Christian Academy
ORCA is a hybrid program in Hudson Oaks led by instructors who facilitate in-class instruction with small group participation in service projects and field trips to accelerate learning and growth. Additional assignments for students are provided to complete throughout the week at home. A distance learning option is also available, along with an electives schedule for afternoons on class days.

Parker County Scholars
Certified teachers provide tutoring in homeschool groups of 8 students or less for reading and math grades K-8th. Meeting 2 days a week, for 3 hour sessions. Think of this teaching pod model as a support system for your homeschool in determining your child’s progress and keeping them on track. Monthly tuition fees apply. Electives like art, music, theater, architecture, and Spanish are also being offered for grades 3-8. Space is limited.

Pinnacle Christian School
As a Christian private school, this hybrid school college-preparatory teaching with the joys of homeschooling. Students attend class on Tuesdays & Thursdays to engage in group projects, science lab work, STEM-based learning, and more while gaining support and accountability.

The Rock Academy

This hybrid private Christian school for K-12th grade partners with families and meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Abeka curriculum is paired with hands-on projects integrating STEAM, and fun electives are offered like dance, gymnastics, and musical theater. Open gym for preschoolers and Homeschool Play Days are also available for a small fee.

SEEK Collaborative
SEEK Collaborative is a new hybrid school in Parker County meeting two days a week. Stressing a hands-on approach and encouraging life-long learning, parents and students of this community are committed to a Christian worldview.
