NOTICE TO OFFERORS

CITY OF WEATHERFORD

NEW LAKE WEATHERFORD STANDPIPE

Notice is hereby given that the City of Weatherford is now accepting proposals for waterworks improvements. All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked “SEALED PROPOSAL #2022-028 NEW LAKE WEATHERFORD STANDPIPE” and returned to the Purchasing Department, 303 Palo Pinto Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086 prior to 2:15 PM, prevailing time, September 27, 2022, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Weatherford Council Chambers, 303 Palo Pinto, Weatherford, Texas. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received.

The project generally consists of the following:

• New 200,00-gallon standpipe and associated appurtenances.

The project contains both  Prestressed Concrete Tank Proposal Option and a Welded Steel Tank Proposal Option. The proposal with Best Value as determined by the City of Weatherford will be selected.  More information on the Owner's Best Value determination method can be found in the Contract Documents.

The contract documents, including plans, for this project will be available Tuesday, September 6th and may be obtained through the projects page on CivCast or through the City of Weatherford's website at: www.weatherfordtx.gov/engineering/bid .  It is the downloader’s responsibility to determine that a complete set of documents, as defined in the Instructions to Offerors, are received.  

A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid.
