Welcome to Weatherford
On behalf of the Weatherford City Council and the citizens of our community, WELCOME. Weatherford is a historic town and proud of its heritage. Located just 20 minutes west of Fort Worth, we pride ourselves in our tradition and history. Weatherford is known for it’s community and family oriented way of life. Because of that, we are becoming one of the premier places to live in the North Texas area. The residents of Weatherford have helped me as mayor to develop a vision for Weatherford that balances its rich, western and pioneer heritage with progress and economic vitality. That’s why our motto is “Growing with Tradition.”
Visitors to Weatherford will enjoy our treasures as well, including a historic shopping district full of antique, boutique and specialty stores as well as restaurants. The city owned and operated Chandor Gardens and the love-story to be discovered within its walls provide a place for residents and visitors to escape from the hectic pace of today’s society. Our old-time Farmers’ Market, First Monday Trades Days, and a bounty of Victorian-era homes bring visitors to our city to share in our desire to maintain our heritage as we grow toward the future.
In making decisions for one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, the City Council prides itself in working toward our vision in a unified effort with city staff to prepare for the Weatherford of tomorrow. In doing so, we are careful to maintain our heritage in a safe environment where families and commerce are the center of our focus.
The citizens of Weatherford have honored us with their vote. In return, we do our best to honor them as dedicated public servants as we listen to their concerns and make decisions in the best interest of the community.
Thank you for visiting our website. Do not hesitate to call us if you need more information.
