NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO CREATE AND DESIGNATE A REINVESTMENT ZONE IN THE CITY OF WEATHERFORD A public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Weatherford at 6 p.m. on January 23, 2024, in the Weatherford City Council Chambers located at 303 Palo Pinto, Weatherford, Texas 76086, to receive public input on a proposal to create a Reinvestment Zone for tax abatement on certain property located within the City specifically, a tract composed of approximately 3.126 acres, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a 1/2-inch iron rod with blue plastic cap stamped "TEXAS SURVEYING" found at the Southwest end of a corner clip at the intersection of the West right-of-way of Center Point Road, a variable width right-of-way, with the North right-of-way of Interstate Highway 20, a variable width right-of-way, said corner clip being defined by deed to Parker County, Texas as recorded in County Clerk's Instrument No. 201601814, Official Public Records, Parker County, Texas; THENCE South 71 degrees 50 minutes 50 seconds West, along the North right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 20 and the South line of said The Grove Weatherford, LLC tracts, a distance of 330.79 feet to an iron rod set; THENCE North 23 degrees 51 minutes 49 seconds West, a distance of 100.05’ to an iron rod set, said point being the beginning of a non-tangent curve having a radius of 100’, a central angle of 25 degrees 51 minutes 29 seconds, a chord bearing North 11 degrees 55 minutes 45 seconds West, and a chord length of 41.34 feet; THENCE North 00 degrees 00 minutes 01 seconds, a distance of 270.90 feet to an iron rod set; THENCE North 71 degrees 50 minutes 51 seconds, a distance of 266.01 feet to an iron rod set; THENCE South 24 degrees 57 minutes 54 seconds, along the west right-of-way of Center Point Road to a ½-inch iron rod stamped “TEXAS SURVEYING”, a distance of 127.87 feet; THENCE South 24 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds, along the west right-of-way of Center Point Road to a ½-inch iron rod stamped “TEXAS SURVEYING”, a distance of 212.83 feet; THENCE South 23 degrees 37 minutes 03 seconds, a distance of 79.95 feet to the point of beginning and containing 3.126 acres of land, more or less. At the hearing, interested persons are entitled to speak and present evidence for or against the designation.
