1. When does the City Council meet?

The Council normally meets in regular session at 6:00 pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

2. How do I obtain public information or records?

To activate the Open Records Act you must submit a written request to the Office of the City Secretary. Please utilize our online request portal. Online Request Portal

You may contact the mayor by phone through the City Secretary's office at 817-598-4202.

4. How do I address city council at a formal meeting?

A maximum of thirty minutes will be devoted to receiving comments from the public for topics not listed on the agenda. Each speaker is limited to one presentation per meeting with a maximum timed limit of three minutes. No formal City Council action is permitted under the Texas Open Meetings law for the items discussed in this section of the agenda. Comments are also welcome on items listed on the current agenda. Citizens wishing to address City Council during a meeting should complete the appropriate speaker card prior to the start of each meeting.

Weatherford is a home rule city with a City Manager form of government. Citizens are represented by a council at large.

6. How do I get a copy of the minutes from a meeting?
