Do contractors have to be registered with the City?
Subcontractors (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Backflow, Irrigation) DO need to be registered with the City of Weatherford. In order to become registered, contractors should take the following actions:
a. Complete a Contractor Information Sheet.
b. Provide the Planning and Development office a copy of the contractor's Master License, proof of identification, and proof of General Liability insurance.
c. There is a $75 annual registration fee.

What types of construction and repair work require permits?
As a general rule, it is important to call the Building Division when any work is being done to a residential or commercial structure within the city limits.

How much does it cost to pull a permit?
Permit fees are based on several variables, such as type of job, square footage, amount of work being done, etc. Click the following link to see applications and fees.

In order to have a garage sale, do I need a permit?
No. It is suggested that citizens have no more than 2 garage sales per year.
